Kiwangwa Venom Biotech is a Tanzania-based agribiotech company transforming traditional beekeeping into a high-value bioeconomy. We are building Africa’s first integrated Bee Venom Bank, combining modern hive systems, ethical venom extraction, and digital traceability to supply pharmaceutical and cosmetic markets. Operating in the biodiversity-rich Pwani Region near Saadani National Park, we work with smallholder beekeepers to increase incomes while promoting pollinator conservation. Our model generates multiple revenue streams—including bee venom, honey, beeswax, and propolis—while creating sustainable rural livelihoods. By bridging local production with global demand, we unlock Africa’s potential in high-value bee products.
