The text describes a union formed in January 2015 by women peasant farmers to improve their productivity and household incomes through sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation practices, and proper agri-business and marketing. The union consists of single mothers, teenage girls, disabled mothers, children living in the street, and women in farming, with 10 groups totaling 320 members. The majority of members are widows and single mothers who have faced discrimination and poverty.
