Our Ambassadors are innovative leaders who are passionate about the African agricultural landscape and committed to the growth of the African agri-food sector. They share the African Food Changemakers vision of a flourishing, sustainable and just food system in Africa.
Together with our Team and Board of Directors, the African Food Changemakers Ambassadors are determined to contribute to our mission of driving profitable and sustainable growth of the African agriculture and food landscapes by attracting, empowering, equipping, connecting and celebrating over 1 Million dynamic and innovative young African agri-food entrepreneurs. across the continent for the transformation of Africa’s agricultural landscape.
Founder, Bio Natura Gabon
Bertin Ikoumbou Ikoumbou is the founder of BIO Natura GABON and an accomplished social entrepreneur with a strong background in sustainable development and agribusiness. He holds a baccalaureate in commercial techniques (G3 series). He has received specialized training in railway operations inspection, public-private partnerships, urban infrastructure management, and social entrepreneurship through the World Bank Institute (Coursera).
In 2021, he successfully completed the Land Accelerator Africa program, gaining expertise in land restoration, agricultural techniques, non-timber forest product valorization, value chain management, carbon credits, and business communication. He is a laureate of the PNPE Gabon business plan competition and participated in a local innovation program with Red de Innovación Local (Argentina). His work was featured at COP27 in Egypt in the Catalyst 2030 report under the Local Solutions from the Global South category, specifically in the Agriculture and Food Security section.
A member of several local and international networks, he was awarded the AGOA Civil Society Award for Leadership in 2015. He remains committed to advancing sustainable agriculture and empowering communities across Gabon and beyond.
