Kabiru Mohammed Danbaba is a trained agronomist and accomplished entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in Niger State’s agricultural value chain. He is widely recognized for his leadership in advancing sustainable agriculture, youth empowerment, and mechanization across all 25 local government areas of the state.

As president of the Young Farmers Association and the Niger State Rice Farmers Cooperative Apex, Kabiru has led transformative initiatives that have enhanced productivity, improved market access, and improved food security. In 2024, he facilitated the cultivation of 2,000 hectares of rice through strategic partnerships, followed by the distribution of inputs for an additional 5,000 hectares in 2025, all of which were fully equipped with irrigation facilities.

His commitment to youth engagement is evident in projects like “Catch Them Young in Agriculture” and the procurement of a multi-thresher to support young farmers. Recognized as “Young Farmer of the Year” by the Niger State Ministry of Agriculture in 2024, Kabiru has also worked as a consultant to several commodity associations.

Through collaborations with USAID Feed the Future, AGRA, One Acre Fund, and Winrock International, he continues to promote eco-friendly technologies and farmer resilience. Kabiru remains a driving force in agricultural transformation, innovation, and inclusive development in Niger State.
