Ruby Ross Maribao

Founder, CHC Agritech Africa Nigeria Ltd

Ruby Ross is the founder of CHC Agritech Africa, a startup dedicated to empowering rural communities in Africa, starting with Nigeria, through knowledge sharing, eco-friendly innovations, and sustainable agricultural practices. With over a decade of public service experience in the Philippines, including roles in the Office of the Governor of Zamboanga Sibugay and the Office of Congresswoman Ann K. Hofer, she brings a deep understanding of community development.

In Nigeria, Ruby pioneered the introduction of microbiome technology, training thousands of farmers through CHC Agritech Africa. Her company’s products are eco-friendly, cost-effective, and fast-acting, enabling the cultivation of export-quality crops while protecting environmental health.

A strong advocate of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Ruby’s work focuses on achieving zero hunger, promoting gender equality, taking climate action, and alleviating poverty. Her venture aims to reach two million African farmers within five years through capacity building, technology transfer, and community engagement.

With a background in economics and project management and training in agroecology and nutritional immunology, Ruby combines scientific rigor with grassroots action. She is a Watson Institute Western Union Foundation Fellow, selected from over 2,000 applicants across 15 countries, and a recipient of the program’s highest grant award.
