KickStart designs, promotes, and distributes innovative manual and solar powered irrigation technologies that enable farmers to access shallow ground water and surface water to plant and harvest their crops year-round. These low-cost tools empower farmers to break free from the constraints of rain-dependent agriculture, capitalize on off-season harvests, adapt to climate change, and significantly increase the profitability and productivity of their farms. To date, KickStart has distributed over 390,000 pumps, empowering farmers and their families to improve quality of life, reduce hunger, build businesses, and strengthen livelihoods. Headquartered in Kenya, with operations across 17 priority countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.
