About Company

Awana Foods is a value-addition agribusiness focused on reducing post-harvest losses and improving incomes for smallholder farmers in Southern Africa. Many farmers experience significant losses due to inadequate storage, limited market access, and lack of processing facilities, which leads to food waste and financial instability. Awana Foods tackles these challenges by sourcing surplus and perishable produce directly from farmers and transforming it into nutritious, shelf-stable products such as dried fruits, vegetable powders, and healthy snacks. This approach not only extends the shelf life of fresh produce but also opens up new markets for rural farmers. Through fair pricing, training, and market linkage support, Awana Foods empowers farmers—especially women and youth—to increase their earnings and build more resilient livelihoods.
