CEO, Rio Fish Ltd
Angela Juliana Odero is the Co-Founder and CEO of Rio Fish Limited, a women-led social enterprise transforming Kenya's aquaculture sector through sustainable fish farming, value addition, and inclusive market systems. She is passionate about advancing food security, climate resilience, and women's economic empowerment by supporting smallholder fish farmers and traders with technology, market access, and sustainable livelihoods.
Angela has led initiatives that have trained over 3,000 farmers and traders and empowered hundreds of women entrepreneurs across Kenya's fisheries value chain. An award-winning social entrepreneur, she led Rio Fish to win the 2026 Sankalp Africa Award in the AgriTech category for transforming aquaculture through sustainable fish farming that empowers women and youth, promotes ethical market practices, and builds climate-resilient livelihoods in Kenya's blue economy. She is also the recipient of the 2024 FINCA Ventures Prize and was a finalist for the 2021 Africa Women Innovation & Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) Social Entrepreneur Award. Angela is committed to fostering collaboration, innovation, and investment to strengthen Africa's agrifood systems.
