Ambassadors

Gunsham Seeborun is the founder and president of the F.A.L.C.O.N Association in Mauritius and a distinguished leader in sustainable agriculture, regenerative farming, and farmer advocacy. Born into a farming family, he has over four decades of hands-on experience in agriculture, complemented by academic training in agronomy and social work. His work is driven by a passion for empowering farming communities through climate-smart agriculture, organic production, and innovative value chain development.

Gunsham currently serves on the Board of Directors of the World Farmers' Organization (WFO), representing farmers' organizations across Africa, and is the Vice President of the Southern African Confederation of Agricultural Unions (SACAU). Throughout his career, he has championed farmer-led initiatives, established organic model farms and accredited training centres, and led projects promoting soil health, agroecology, aquaponics, organic certification, and sustainable food systems. His leadership has fostered strategic collaborations with international organizations, research institutions, and regional partners to strengthen agricultural resilience and improve livelihoods.

As an AFC Ambassador, Gunsham is committed to advancing knowledge exchange, promoting sustainable agrifood innovations, and empowering farmers and agripreneurs across Africa to build resilient, inclusive, and prosperous food systems for future generations.
