Founder and CEO, Nabatic
Mourad Brahami is an AgriTech trainer, facilitator, and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience across agriculture, communication, and digital transformation in Algeria and the wider Mediterranean/African region. Born in Aokas (Béjaïa) in 1969, he built his career in technical sales and communication roles in the agricultural inputs sector (12 years) before founding several ventures at the intersection of agronomy and technology.
In 2015 he founded Viralcom, an agricultural communication agency, before launching FITO, an AI-assisted crop diagnostic and advisory app, a laureate of a 2019 national agricultural innovation competition and labeled an innovative project by Algeria's Ministry of Startups (2021). In 2022 he founded NABATIC, an AgriTech startup applying artificial intelligence to farmer decision support, water management, and food security, also developing Croplix, a tool optimizing agricultural inputs and retail points. NABATIC won 1st place at the Algeria IOT & AI Challenge 2022. He is also co-organizer of FILAHATEK, an AgriTech innovation challenge mobilizing farmers, students, and startups since 2020, and a certified facilitator for sustainable agriculture & food production under the InnovAgro Program (GIZ/EU, 2025).
He serves as an AI & AgriTech expert for FMIA (Mediterranean Forum on Artificial Intelligence), whose 3rd edition will be held on November 5, 2026, in Marseille, and is a member of the AgriTech Commission at CREA (Conseil du Renouveau Économique Algérien).
Fluent in Arabic (native), French, and English, Mourad is dedicated to making AI and digital innovation accessible and field-relevant for farmers across Africa.
