Together with our Team and Board of Directors, the African Food Changemakers Ambassadors are determined to contribute to our mission of driving profitable and sustainable growth of the African agriculture and food landscapes by attracting, empowering, equipping, connecting and celebrating over 1 Million dynamic and innovative young African agri-food entrepreneurs. across the continent for the transformation of Africa’s agricultural landscape.

Founder, Studio Africa

Mpho is a Mosotho visual creative, food ethnographer, and founder of Studio Africa PTY LTD, a creative agency that solves communication challenges for agribusinesses. She is known for merging art, food, and storytelling to preserve African heritage and challenge stereotypes. Her food research explores traditional Basotho cuisine as a storytelling medium, showing how food carries memory, culture, and identity. She has experience in impact-driven storytelling and believes storytelling controls narratives, shapes the future, and can redefine Africa’s image globally.

Some of her career milestones are the UN Women “Picture It” Comic Semi-finalist, where she created a gender-equality comic empowering young women through visual storytelling, Leading African Women in Food Fellow, and Africa No Filter Emerging Artist Fellow. She was also part of the first cohort of the Competitiveness and Financial Inclusion Project (CAFI), which is a project development programme by the Government of Lesotho. She is well-trained in Ethical Storytelling: How to Write About Africa and Entrepreneurship & Financing in Cultural and Creative Industries.
